ATTENTION - UNFORTUNATELY - DUE TO INSUFFICIENT REGISTRATIONS AND NOT ENOUGH VOLUNTEER SUPPORT, THE METRO PINEWOOD DERBY HAS BEEN CANCELLED.  REFUNDS FOR EXISTING REGISTRATIONS WILL BE PROCESSED WITHIN 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS"

Come one - come all to participate in the Great Southwest Council's Metro Area Pinewood Derby! The green flag drops at 9:00am at SY Jackson Elementary on Saturday March 2nd! (4720 Cairo Drive NE in ABQ) All cars must be checked in NLT 8:45am.

All Scouts are welcome to participate regardless of placement in their Pack's races. There will be a "Friends and Family" division as well for parents, siblings and friends who want to race.

Registration will be $15 per car and registration can be done either as a group by the Pack or individually by families who would like to participate. Please be sure to include your unit number when registering and if you are registering as a Cub Scout or in the "Friends/Family" division. If a Cub Scout - be sure to include your Den level. ALL Cars (Scouts and Friends/Family) must meet the outlined criteria in the Council rules. NOTE: if your Pack decides to pay for your registration, your payment will be refunded.

There will be two inspection/car drop off windows. - Friday night from 6 - 8pm at SY Jackson or Saturday morning from 7:30-8:45am. Once the car is inspected and accepted for racing - it will be impounded until after the racing is completed. All Cars must be in compliance with the Great Southwest Council's Rules as expressed in the document below.

Please register NO LATER THAN 2-24 to ensure a participation patch.
