Webelos Week in the Woods - July 5-9 @ Gorham Scout Ranch

Webelos Week in the Woods is a five day, four night resident camping experience designed specifically for Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts. Participant youth must be entering the fourth or fifth grade for this program. Dens are encouraged to participate as a group. It is required for there to be one adult per four Webelos Scouts minimum (a group of six youth would require at least two adults). Registration can be as a Pack, as a Den, or individual youth/parent.

Webelos Week in the Woods is a outing that helps prepare Scouts to begin the transition from Cub Scouting to Boy Scouting. The Webelos program allows for Scouts to do more activities as a Den, rather than with their families. The program at Webelos Week in the Woods will focus on these same principles. There will be opportunities during the Webelos Week in the Woods for Scouts to work on advancement. However, this is not the main focus of the program.

Activities during the week will include: swimming, shooting sports, Scoutcraft, sports/games, first aid, camp cooking, climbing, hiking, handicraft, and nature study. Webelos Scouts will learn and participate in flag ceremonies.

Webelos Scouts will stay in canvas wall tents, which sleep two people comfortably. The tents sit on a wooden platform. There are vault toilets and running water in each campsite. There is a shower house located in a central area of the campground. All meals will be served in the dining hall, prepared by a professional kitchen staff. There is also a camp store stocked with basic camping supplies and snacks.

Cost for Webelos Week in the Woods: Before June 30: $250 for Youth, $210 for Adults

After June 30: $300 for Youth, $250 for Adults
