Cub Scout Summer Camp

Experience all of the summer fun and excitement that awaits you and your Cub Scout at Gorham Scout Ranch in 2015. Gorham Scout Ranch offers hundreds of acres in which to camp and hike, a beautiful newly renovated pool and shower house, archery and BB gun ranges (newly remodeled), nature hut, horses, a beautiful climbing tower, and a nationally accredited program provided by the enthusiastic and energetic Gorham Scout Ranch Staff. All meals, lodging, program materials provided for all who attend. This is the ultimate program to strengthen Pack's and Den's year-round program while allowing families to spend time together and giving Cubs and experience that includes everything Scouting has to offer.

Camping Options

At each session, Cubs will participate in instructional and open swimming, shooting bows and arrows, and BB guns, handicraft projects, and nature activities. Webelos will also participate in Scout craft and special activities designed specifically for them. The primary objective of our Cub Scout program at Gorham Scout Ranch is for Cubs to have fun and experience new things. However, opportunities will be available for advancement in many of the activities they do.

Pack and Den Camping

Packs and Dens are encouraged to attend Gorham Scout Ranch as a unit. Large Packs will be placed in their own campsite, while smaller Packs and Dens may share a campsite with other units. This is an excellent opportunity for the boys in your Pack or Den to bond and have fun together. 


Family Camp - For Cub Scout and Webelos Scout Families

Family Camp will take place on the weekend of May 23-25 at Gorham Scout Ranch. Family Camp is a family weekend full of fun and adventure. The weekend begins on Saturday morning at 11:00 am and ends Monday morning. The cost for 2015 is $45.00 per youth and $35.00 per adult with a maximum charge of $100 per family. There is no cost for children who are four and under. This camp is open for families of boys who have just completed the first, second, third or fourth grades. Each individual family makes its own reservation and payment.

Cub Adventure Camp - For Cub Scouts and Webelos

Adventure Camp takes place at Gorham Scout Ranch on July 13-17. The camp is designed to be a brand new experience for groups of Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts. It is a five-day/four-night adventure for boys who have just completed the first, second, third, or fourth grades. This camp is ideal for smaller Packs with mixed dens and where volunteers are scarce because the entire Pack can come to camp at the same time. The camp is $245/boy and $205/adult. The group must be under the leadership of at least two adult leaders (21 and over) and a ratio of 1:3 must be kept.

Webelos Week in the Woods

Webelos Week in the Woods takes place at Gorham Scout Ranch on July 13-17. Webelos Week in the Woods is a top-notch experience available for groups of Webelos Scouts. It is a five-day/four-night adventure for boys who have just completed the third or fourth grades. The cost is $245/boy and $205/adult. The group must be under the leadership of at least two adult leaders (21 and over) and a ratio of 1:5 must be kept.

Registration Policy

You may register to attend Gorham Scout Ranch as an individual or as a unit. At the time of registration for Cub Camps, a minimum $250 deposit per unit is due for Cub Adventure Camp and Webelos Week in the Woods. An additional deposit of $50 per scout is dueand adult is due by March 15 to hold the reservation. The remainder of the fees are due by May 15th, 2015, or April 30th, 2015 to take advantage of our Early bird discounts. Parents are encouraged to attend camp with their sons. If a parent is not available, a relative or guardian over 21 years of age may attend. All Cub Scouts and Webelos must have an adult in camp from their Pack. At least one adult must attend from a Pack or Den in order for those Scouts to participate in our Cub Scout activities at Gorham.

Cub Camperships

The Great Southwest Council has limited funds to help Cub Scouts attend resident camp at Gorham Scout Ranch. Cub Scouts and Webelos who are in need of financial aid should submit a Campership Application to the Council Office by March 15, 2012. Cub Campership are awarded on a need basis and would cover a portion of the camp fees. Please note these camperships are nontransferable.
